About me
This portfolio was entirely created by Jacob Zokvic. I earned a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Economics from Western Michigan University. I have also earned an Associate in Arts in Political Science degree from Lansing Community College. I intend to enter the Professional field as well as continue my education by pursuing a graduate degree. I am looking for any job that utilizes my skills. I am especially interested in any positon that involves Public Relations or Videography.
About this Portfolio
The work presented in this portfolio was created with the focus of Michigan Department of Transportation as a potential client. The portfolio represents a comprehensive Public Relations campaign with a variety of communications tactics. This portfolio was originally created for a Public Relations writing course taken at Western Michigan University. The purpose of this portfolio is to display an example of work I have done to potential employers and for consideration for school admissions.
About the Client
This project was created with the Michigan Department of Transportation as a theoretical client. 
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is a state government organization. MDOT is responsible for Michigan’s 9,669 mile state highway system. This includes all M, I, and US routes. MDOT also administers other state and federal transportation programs for aviation, intercity passenger services, rail freight, local public transit services, the Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF), and others. Finally the department is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive transportation plan for the entire state that includes all modes of transportation. The department’s Public Affairs efforts are handled mostly by its own Michigan Department of Transportation Office of Communications.

- Two scripts for radio Public Service Announcements to be distributed by the client to radio stations across the state, one 30 seconds and the other 60 seconds.
- An image showing example posts on the Instagram social media website to be made by the client as part of their social media efforts.
- An image showing example posts on the Twitter social media website to be made by the client as part of their social media efforts.
- An example of a standard Press Release to be distributed to news organizations by the client.
- An example of an organization Newsletter to be distributed internally by the client in order to communicate with their employees.
